Terms of Service

Effective date: 13 October 2026

1. Who we are and these Terms

Sunnah Match is operated by MUSLIM MATRIMONY CO LTD, a United Kingdom company, of 20–22 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU, United Kingdom. In these Terms, “Sunnah Match”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that company. “Service” means our matrimonial website, applications and related software services. “You” means the person using the Service.

These Terms govern your account and use of the Service. The product description and payment information shown when you purchase also form part of your purchase agreement. Please read them before registering or paying and keep a copy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded under applicable consumer law. This protection applies throughout these Terms, including to refunds, deletion, restrictions, termination and liability. Mandatory consumer protections applicable where you live remain unaffected.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old, legally able to enter this agreement, and using the Service sincerely to seek a Muslim spouse. You must not create or use an account if you have been permanently banned.

Provide accurate and current registration and profile information, including material information about your identity, age, marital status and circumstances. Keep it updated. We may request information reasonably needed to confirm eligibility, protect accounts or investigate misuse. Do not impersonate another person or misrepresent material facts.

Your account is personal to you. Do not sell, transfer, share or allow another person to operate it, or maintain multiple accounts. Keep your login details secure and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity you authorise and for taking reasonable steps to protect your account; this does not make you automatically liable for every unauthorised act.

3. What the Service provides

Sunnah Match provides access to matrimonial software, matchmaking tools and other users. It is for Muslims seeking marriage in accordance with Islamic values, rather than casual dating, sexual encounters or commercial solicitation.

You and other users make your own independent decisions. We do not guarantee interest, responses, requests, acceptance of requests, compatibility, attraction, profile availability, the continued availability of another user, a relationship, engagement, marriage or any particular result. Users may decline requests, stop responding, block others or leave the Service.

An unsuccessful search or disappointing matchmaking outcome does not by itself mean that the purchased software service was not provided. This does not excuse us from providing the features and services we agreed to supply or from meeting our legal obligations.

4. Products and purchases

Paid products may include recurring subscriptions, Unlimited Access, tokens, requests, request tokens and other features. Available products, features, quotas, eligibility conditions and offers may vary over time or between offers. Your purchase is governed by the description and terms shown when you buy; later changes to offers do not automatically rewrite an existing purchase.

Before you pay, the purchase process will identify the product, its price, applicable taxes and charges, whether payment is recurring or one-time, and relevant access conditions. You authorise the agreed payment and, for recurring subscriptions, the renewals described at purchase. Payments may be handled by an app store or another payment provider under its applicable payment terms.

We may change prices and offers for future purchases. We will give reasonable advance notice of changes to the price of your recurring subscription, and any longer notice required by law, so you can cancel before the change takes effect. A price change does not retrospectively alter a payment already agreed for the current paid period.

5. Recurring subscriptions and cancellation

5.1 Renewal and cancellation

A recurring subscription renews automatically for the billing period disclosed at purchase unless cancelled before renewal. You can cancel future renewal using the subscription controls provided for your purchase. For subscriptions billed by Apple, Google or another platform, use that platform’s subscription controls. Contact [email protected] if you need help or believe cancellation has failed. These routes do not limit any legally valid way of giving a cancellation notice.

Ordinary cancellation stops future renewal. It does not ordinarily undo a payment already processed or entitle you to a refund. Your current paid access normally continues until the end of the paid period, subject to deletion, restrictions, termination or an entitlement being unwound under these Terms. Statutory cancellation and refund rights are addressed in section 8.

Simply not using the Service, uninstalling an application or hiding a profile does not cancel a subscription. Permanent deletion and subscription cancellation are distinct actions; see section 10. Keep any cancellation confirmation and contact us if the subscription status appears incorrect.

5.2 What happens when a subscription expires

When your subscription ends and you have no other active membership covering the relevant feature, you cannot initiate new actions that require paid membership. Unused tokens, requests, request tokens and similar entitlements cannot be used until you again have the required active membership.

Existing legitimate conversations remain open and may continue to be used after ordinary subscription expiry. We do not retrospectively close those conversations merely because your subscription has ended. This does not prevent closure for a separate reason, such as a user ending a conversation, blocking or deleting an account, a safety or moderation action, or a refund or reversal that unwinds the entitlement associated with that conversation. Section 9 explains that different situation.

6. Active membership and tokens or requests

“Active membership” means a current, valid paid access entitlement covering the feature you want to use, whether supplied through a recurring subscription or through Unlimited Access where the purchased product includes that feature. It must not have expired, been revoked or been suspended for that use.

Chat tokens, requests, request tokens and similar platform entitlements require the active membership specified for their use. Holding an unused entitlement, seeing it in your account or having previously paid for it does not give you an independent right to use it without that membership. A token or request balance does not extend or replace membership. Where membership is required, you must have it at the time you initiate the relevant action.

These entitlements are permissions to use platform features. They are not cash, stored monetary value, deposits or transferable property. They cannot be sold, transferred to another account or redeemed for cash. This does not remove any legal right to a refund of a payment. Any product-specific quotas, usage rules or expiry conditions will be disclosed with the relevant product; these Terms do not promise unlimited accumulation or permanent availability of unused balances.

Ordinary subscription expiry prevents use of membership-dependent entitlements but does not itself authorise us to close legitimate existing conversations. Permanent deletion, permanent bans and unwound payments have the separate consequences described below.

7. Unlimited Access

Unlimited Access is a one-time paid entitlement associated only with the specific Sunnah Match account on which it was purchased. Its included features are those described at purchase. The name does not remove conduct rules, safety controls or product conditions disclosed with the offer, and does not mean that every present or future paid feature is included.

Unlimited Access is personal to that account, non-transferable and not portable to another account. It is not a transferable lifetime entitlement attached to the purchaser independently of their account. It does not require recurring renewal payments for the access included in the purchase.

If you permanently delete the account on which Unlimited Access was purchased, that entitlement is permanently forfeited. It will not be restored, transferred, credited or reapplied to any later account, including one created by the same person. Unused account-specific tokens, requests, request tokens and similar entitlements are also permanently forfeited on deletion. This does not exclude a remedy required by law, including if deletion results from our error.

Unlimited Access is also subject to the refund, reversal and enforcement provisions in these Terms. Inactivity alone does not terminate it or destroy the underlying account. Unlimited Access does not guarantee that the Service will exist forever; any closure or material change remains subject to section 16 and your statutory rights.

8. Refunds and statutory cancellation rights

8.1 General rule and exceptions

All payments, including initial payments, renewals, Unlimited Access and other paid purchases, are final and non-refundable except where:

  • A refund is required by applicable law.
  • We confirm a billing error.
  • We confirm a material failure on our side to provide the purchased service.
  • A relevant app store, payment processor, bank or payment platform requires or processes a refund.
  • We expressly authorise a refund in a particular case.

Our confirmation is not a precondition to exercising a statutory right or using a lawful external dispute process. The appropriate amount and form of a remedy depend on the error, failure and applicable rights; a correction need not undo an otherwise valid purchase.

We do not offer a general satisfaction guarantee, a voluntary cooling-off period beyond what the law requires, an accidental-renewal refund policy or a discretionary “forgot to cancel” refund policy. An expressly authorised exception in one case does not create an entitlement in another.

8.2 Circumstances that do not by themselves qualify

Subject to section 8.1 and your statutory rights, none of the following by itself creates refund eligibility:

  • Forgetting to cancel; believing or intending that a subscription had been cancelled; or saying cancellation was attempted where we cannot verify a failure on our side.
  • Not using the Service, using it only minimally, changing your mind, no longer needing it or finding someone elsewhere.
  • Not finding a suitable spouse; dissatisfaction with the number or quality of profiles; lack of interest from other users; declined or expired requests; lack of responses; or dissatisfaction with matchmaking outcomes.
  • Deleting your account, unused subscription time, or unused tokens, requests, request tokens or similar entitlements.

We will consider relevant evidence of a reported billing or cancellation failure. The absence of a record in our systems does not override a legal right or establish that a customer acted dishonestly.

8.3 Rights required by law

You may have mandatory cancellation, refund or other remedy rights under the law applicable to your purchase. For example, UK consumers generally have 14 days after entering a distance service contract to cancel. If you expressly request supply during that period, a lawful proportionate charge for services supplied may apply. Beginning to use an ongoing service does not by itself remove the right to cancel. For services, that right is lost on full performance only where the required request and acknowledgement have been obtained. Different rules can apply to digital content: early supply can remove cancellation rights only where the required prior express consent, acknowledgement and confirmation have been provided. Accepting these Terms alone is not such a request, consent or acknowledgement.

Any longer cancellation period or other mandatory right that applies to you remains available. Where we fail to provide a service with reasonable care and skill or as agreed, you may have rights to have it put right, a price reduction, a refund or another legal remedy. The exclusions in section 8.2 do not displace those rights.

8.4 Requesting a refund or exercising cancellation rights

Contact [email protected] or write to the address in section 19, identifying your account, purchase and request. You can exercise a statutory cancellation right by any clear statement that you wish to cancel; you do not need to use special wording or obtain approval before the deadline. Where the law requires a refund, we will provide it within the applicable legal time limit and using the required payment method. For a UK statutory service cancellation, this is normally without undue delay and within 14 days after you tell us, using the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, without a refund fee.

For app-store purchases, you may also need to use the store’s refund process. We will comply with binding platform decisions and applicable law; this does not remove obligations we ourselves owe you.

You may use this optional cancellation form: “To MUSLIM MATRIMONY CO LTD, 20–22 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU, United Kingdom, [email protected]: I/We give notice that I/We cancel my/our contract for the following service: [service]. Ordered on: [date]. Name: [name]. Address: [address]. Date: [date]. Signature: [only if sent on paper].” Delete whichever wording does not apply.

9. What refunds and payment reversals do to benefits

9.1 Where the purchase is unwound

If a refund, chargeback, charge reversal, payment reversal or similar transaction effectively unwinds a paid entitlement, we may revoke the benefits associated with that payment. Depending on the purchase, these may include paid access, Unlimited Access, unused tokens, requests, request tokens, premium features, matches or connections obtained through that entitlement, active conversations and pending conversations or requests.

The general policy is that unwinding the underlying paid entitlement also unwinds its associated benefits. We retain discretion over which associated benefits to revoke, taking account of the reason, amount and circumstances of the refund or reversal, any remaining valid entitlement and applicable law. We will not use this policy to remove unrelated valid purchases or to penalise the exercise of a statutory right.

9.2 Corrections that leave a valid purchase in place

A refund that merely corrects a duplicate charge, overcharge, billing error or other mistake does not automatically cancel the valid underlying purchase. Where that purchase and entitlement remain valid, the customer keeps its associated benefits. We may remove only any extra entitlement attributable to the erroneous charge, if applicable, unless a separate justified enforcement ground exists. A partial refund does not automatically unwind the whole purchase; its effect depends on what the refund actually corrects or cancels.

9.3 Expiry and disputes are different

Ordinary subscription expiry is not a refund or reversal and does not close legitimate existing conversations. Making a genuine complaint or raising a good-faith payment dispute is not itself payment abuse or an automatic reason to revoke benefits. Any temporary restriction while investigating must meet section 13, including the subscription pause protection.

10. Permanent deletion, temporary absence and inactivity

10.1 Permanent deletion

You can request permanent account deletion through the available account controls or by contacting support. Once permanently deleted, your former account cannot be reinstated. You lose access to its profile, conversations and account-specific paid benefits. Unlimited Access and unused tokens, requests, request tokens and similar entitlements are permanently forfeited, with no restoration, transfer, credit or reapplication to a later account, even if it belongs to you. Deletion itself does not create a refund right; section 8 and mandatory rights still apply.

If you only want a temporary break, use any available hide or deactivate function instead of permanent deletion. Hiding, deactivating and cancelling renewal are different actions; hiding or deactivating does not by itself stop subscription billing.

Deleting your Sunnah Match account does not automatically cancel a subscription purchased through Apple or Google. You must cancel those subscriptions yourself through your Apple App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Until you cancel, the subscription may continue to renew and you may continue to be charged even after your Sunnah Match account has been deleted. Cancel any recurring subscription separately before deleting your account. Contact us if you cannot access the cancellation controls. Nothing here allows us to disregard a valid cancellation notice or continue charges that the law requires us to stop.

10.2 New accounts and safety controls

A later account is a new account identity within the Service. Previous user-to-user blocks are not reconstructed onto that new account. This does not remove obligations arising from your previous conduct or prevent lawful records being used for safety enforcement.

You must not delete, recreate or use another account to circumvent another user’s block, contact someone who previously blocked you, evade a restriction, moderation action, suspension or ban, or defeat any safety or access-control measure. This applies even if the new account technically allows the action. Such conduct may result in immediate restriction or permanent termination. A permanently banned person may not create or use any further Sunnah Match account, regardless of the reason for the ban. Confirmed ban evasion results in a permanent ban of the account used to evade it under section 13.3.

10.3 Inactivity

We may hide, deprioritise, archive or reduce the visibility of inactive profiles. Inactivity alone is not a ground for permanently terminating your account or extinguishing valid Unlimited Access. Archiving for inactivity does not mean permanent deletion or forfeiture of that entitlement.

11. Conduct and Islamic standards

Use the Service honestly, respectfully and with sincere matrimonial intentions. Maintain modesty, appropriate Islamic conduct and respectful courtship, and involve appropriate family members and a wali or guardian as required by your circumstances and Islamic practice. Follow the Service’s no-profile-pictures policy and do not use communications to send prohibited photographs, images or videos.

You must not:

  • Harass, stalk, threaten, intimidate, coerce, discriminate unlawfully against or abuse another user, our staff or our support team; persist in unwanted contact; or engage in sexual misconduct or inappropriate intimate or sexually suggestive communications.
  • Post illegal, exploitative, sexually explicit, hateful or otherwise harmful content, or material that infringes privacy or intellectual property rights.
  • Commit fraud, run scams, impersonate someone, create deceptive profiles, solicit money or gifts, or promote unrelated commercial services.
  • Circumvent blocks, restrictions or safety controls, or evade moderation, suspension or a ban, including by using another person’s account.
  • Move or attempt to move conversations with another member off the Service, exchange external contact details for that purpose, or help someone bypass the off-platform communication rules in section 12.2, subject to the Reveal Wali exception in that section.
  • Abuse subscriptions, Unlimited Access, tokens, requests, promotional offers, customer support, refunds or chargebacks.
  • Knowingly make false or misleading statements to obtain a refund, chargeback or payment reversal, including misrepresenting customer-service interactions or resolutions to Apple, Google, a bank, card issuer or other payment provider.
  • Scrape or harvest personal information, use unauthorised bots, access accounts or systems without permission, introduce harmful code, interfere with security or disrupt the Service.

Nothing in these rules prevents a genuine good-faith complaint, a refund request or the lawful exercise of payment-dispute rights. A refund request, provider decision or disagreement about customer service does not, on its own, prove dishonesty or abuse.

12. Safety, moderation and user interactions

12.1 General safety

Use caution when evaluating profiles, communicating or meeting. Do not assume that information provided by another user has been independently verified or that any check guarantees their identity, background or safety. Make your own reasonable enquiries, involve trusted family or others where appropriate, and take sensible precautions when meeting. Do not send money or sensitive financial information to other users. Contact local emergency services where there is immediate danger.

We may review and moderate profiles, communications and other content where reasonably necessary to operate the Service, enforce these Terms, investigate reports, prevent harm or comply with law. We may redact or remove content, limit visibility or contact, restrict features, suspend accounts or impose permanent bans under section 13. We may act urgently without prior warning where justified by the risk. We do not promise to read every message, detect every offence or prevent every instance of abuse.

12.2 Off-platform communication is prohibited

You must keep conversations with members you meet through Sunnah Match within the Service, subject to the Reveal Wali exception below. Otherwise, moving or attempting to move those conversations off-platform is not allowed, even if both members agree, one member asks first, or your paid membership has ended. This includes WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, SMS, telephone or video calls outside the Service, email, social-media messages and other websites or applications.

Reveal Wali exception: you may use the Service’s Reveal Wali feature to share or obtain a wali’s contact details and contact that wali outside the Service for the matrimonial process. Using this feature and contacting the wali through the details it reveals is permitted and is not a breach of these off-platform communication rules. This exception does not permit exchanging members’ own contact details or moving direct member-to-member conversations off-platform. The rules below are subject to this exception.

  • Do not request, offer, send or exchange telephone numbers, email addresses, social-media handles, external messaging usernames, invitation links or QR codes to arrange off-platform contact.
  • Do not put external contact details in your profile or messages, disguise them using spaces, symbols, images or coded wording, or direct a member to search for you elsewhere to bypass this rule.
  • Do not go off-platform to request, share, exchange or view another member’s pictures, or ask or invite another member to do so. This includes social-media profiles, external photo galleries, cloud-storage links and messaging applications, even if the stated purpose is only to see pictures and both members agree. Use only the photo-sharing features provided within the Service. The Reveal Wali exception does not permit using a wali to arrange or facilitate off-platform picture sharing or viewing.
  • Do not use a friend, relative, wali, guardian or another account to bypass the prohibition on direct off-platform member-to-member conversations. Contacting a wali using details shared through Reveal Wali is permitted under the exception above.
  • Do not pressure another member to leave the Service, claim that outside contact is required to prove sincerity, or ask them to hide, delete or conceal an attempt to move a conversation off-platform.
  • Receiving an unsolicited contact detail or request is not, by itself, a breach by the recipient. Do not accept or act on the invitation; report it using the Service’s reporting tools or contact support.

12.3 Why staying on-platform matters

Moving off-platform removes the conversation from our in-service moderation, reporting context and account safety controls. A block or restriction on Sunnah Match cannot stop someone contacting you through another service. Sharing external contact details can expose your identity, personal information and other accounts, and can increase the risk of unwanted contact, harassment, impersonation, scams, coercion or misuse of private messages and images. Keeping a conversation on-platform does not guarantee safety, but it helps us assess reports using records available within the Service.

We cannot access or independently verify a complete record of conversations, calls, meetings, payments, promises or other events outside the Service. Screenshots, forwarded messages and accounts supplied by participants may be incomplete, altered or impossible for us to authenticate. We cannot conclusively establish what happened or adjudicate private off-platform disputes. We may still consider available evidence when deciding whether to take action on a Sunnah Match account; reporting an incident does not guarantee a finding, recovery of money or resolution of a dispute.

12.4 Responsibility for off-platform events

If you choose to interact off-platform, you do so at your own risk and remain responsible for your own decisions and conduct. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Sunnah Match is not liable for the acts or omissions of other users or third parties outside the Service, or for resulting loss, harm, fraud, harassment, disclosures, payments, promises, relationships or disputes. An introduction through Sunnah Match is not our endorsement or guarantee of another person’s conduct, and we do not supervise, verify or guarantee off-platform interactions.

This does not exclude responsibility for our own breach of these Terms or failure to meet a legal duty, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. The protections and exceptions in section 16.2 continue to apply. These rules do not prevent you from reporting harm to us, seeking help from trusted people, contacting emergency services or law enforcement, or exercising your legal rights.

12.5 Permanent ban without warning for off-platform breaches

If we establish on the available evidence that you have breached section 12.2, we will permanently ban your account without a prior warning or an opportunity to repeat the conduct. This applies to attempts to arrange prohibited off-platform contact as well as prohibited conversations that have already moved outside the Service. It does not apply to contact permitted by the Reveal Wali exception in section 12.2. Your access and paid benefits will end under section 13.3. There is no refund for the ban or forfeited benefits except where required by applicable law.

A confirmed ban is permanent: there is no second chance, return after a waiting period or permission to create or use another account. Paying again, using different contact details or using someone else’s account does not allow you to return. The review process in section 13.4 remains available to correct an incorrect decision; it does not promise reinstatement or a second chance for a confirmed breach.

12.6 Reporting and records

Report safety concerns, illegal content, inappropriate conduct or a moderation decision using available reporting tools or [email protected]. Include relevant details so we can assess the matter. We may request information reasonably needed to investigate and may withhold another person’s private information or details that would compromise safety, legal duties or an investigation.

We may retain relevant records for safety, fraud prevention, complaints, disputes, enforcement or legal purposes where lawful and necessary, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable retention requirements. Deletion is not a promise to erase every lawful safety or transaction record immediately.

13. Restrictions, suspension and termination

13.1 Grounds for action

We may restrict, suspend or terminate an account where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms; protect users, our staff or Sunnah Match; prevent fraud, abuse, harassment or harmful conduct; enforce safety controls; address illegal activity; protect platform integrity; prevent payment or refund abuse; or comply with legal obligations.

We will consider the nature, seriousness, risk and available evidence of the conduct when deciding the appropriate action. A serious incident, credible safety risk or circumvention may justify immediate restriction or permanent termination. We may provide a reason and notice where appropriate, but may limit or delay information where reasonably necessary for safety, privacy, fraud prevention or legal requirements.

A breach of the off-platform communication rules in section 12.2, established on the available evidence, results in a permanent ban without prior warning as set out in section 12.5. A temporary restriction or first warning is not a required step before that ban.

13.2 Temporary or soft restrictions

If we place your account under a temporary or soft restriction for safety, policy, moderation or abuse reasons, we will pause your paid subscription period so that the restricted period does not consume your paid subscription entitlement. We may implement this reasonably by pausing the subscription clock or billing, moving a renewal date, extending paid access for the corresponding period, or providing equivalent paid time without an additional charge. We will account for billing-platform limitations without making you lose paid time because of the temporary restriction.

A restriction does not authorise you to bypass it or use unavailable benefits. If the restriction ends without a permanent ban, any remaining valid paid time, including time preserved during the restriction, remains available. If it becomes a permanent ban for misconduct or breach, section 13.3 applies to the remaining benefits. Your statutory remedies remain unaffected.

13.3 Permanent bans for misconduct or breach

If you are permanently banned for misconduct or violating these Terms, your access to the Service ends, including subscriptions, Unlimited Access and other paid benefits. Unused subscription time, including paused time, and unused Unlimited Access or other benefits do not create a refund entitlement. No refund is owed for that forfeiture except where required by applicable law. This does not remove an independent right to correction of an erroneous charge.

You must not create, recreate, obtain or use another Sunnah Match account to evade a permanent ban. This rule applies to every permanent ban, regardless of the original reason, including any breach of these Terms; it is not limited to off-platform contact or picture sharing. It covers new and existing accounts, accounts created on your behalf and accounts belonging to someone else. Changing your name, email address, telephone number, device or payment details, deleting the banned account or purchasing again does not override the ban.

If we establish on the available evidence that an account was created or is being used to evade a permanent ban, we will permanently ban that account too, without prior warning. The same loss of access, paid benefits and refund rules in this section apply to each account used for ban evasion. Repeated registration does not create a right to return. The review process in section 13.4 remains available to correct an incorrect decision.

We will stop future subscription renewals we control; for platform-managed subscriptions, you should also cancel through that platform, and we will take any cancellation steps required of us.

13.4 Review and other endings

You may ask us to review a restriction, content decision or ban by contacting support with the relevant facts. We will consider relevant information, without promising reinstatement or disclosure of confidential evidence. An incorrect decision remains subject to correction and any remedy required by law. You may also have the right to bring a breach-of-contract claim if we remove or restrict your content or suspend or ban you in breach of these Terms.

The misconduct forfeiture rule does not automatically apply where we end access for reasons unrelated to your misconduct, such as discontinuing the Service. Those cases remain subject to the purchase agreement, section 16 and applicable remedies. Inactivity alone is not a ground for permanent termination. Provisions that reasonably need to continue after termination, such as payment obligations already incurred, lawful record retention, dispute provisions and the ban-evasion prohibition, continue to apply.

14. Your content and personal information

You retain ownership of the content you provide. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to host, store, process, reproduce, display, transmit and, where needed for moderation or presentation, adapt that content solely to operate, provide, secure and moderate the Service. We may allow service providers acting for us to do this for those purposes. This is not permission to sell your private messages or use them for unrelated advertising.

Only provide content you have the right to share. Do not disclose another person’s private information without appropriate permission or another lawful basis. We do not endorse or guarantee the accuracy of user content. You do not acquire ownership of another user’s profile or communications by paying for access.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information, including sensitive profile information, disclosures, retention and your data-protection rights. Agreement to these Terms does not replace any separate consent required by data-protection law. We retain content and messages only as permitted by law and our retention practices; we do not promise indefinite message storage or backup. Lawful retention after deletion or a ban does not restore the deleted account or its paid entitlements.

15. Our intellectual property and third parties

The Service’s software, design, branding and other materials, apart from user-owned content, belong to us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable permission to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. Do not copy, resell, distribute or exploit it, or reverse-engineer it except where the law permits. Do not use our names or logos in a way that suggests endorsement without permission.

If you voluntarily give us product ideas or feedback, we may use them to improve the Service without compensation, subject to any separate agreement and your data-protection rights.

App stores, payment providers and linked third-party services may have their own terms. We are not responsible for independent third-party content or services we do not supply or control. This does not exclude our responsibility for performing our own contract, including where we use suppliers to do so, or your mandatory rights against us.

16. Service changes and responsibility

16.1 Availability and changes

We will provide the purchased Service with reasonable care and skill and as required by law. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, security work, technical failures and events beyond our reasonable control may cause interruptions. We will take reasonable steps to limit disruption and restore affected services.

We may make reasonable changes for security, legal compliance, technical compatibility and service improvement. We will not rely on general wording in these Terms to remove the core benefit of an existing paid purchase without any remedy the law requires. Where a change materially disadvantages you, we will give reasonable advance notice where practicable, explain your options and provide any cancellation or other remedy required by law. If we discontinue a purchased service, applicable rights to a refund or other remedy remain available, including for Unlimited Access.

16.2 Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. Loss is foreseeable if it is an obvious consequence or was within both parties’ reasonable contemplation when the agreement was made. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, were not caused by our breach, or that you could have avoided by taking reasonable care, to the extent the law permits.

The Service is supplied for personal use. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for business losses such as lost business profits, commercial opportunities or business interruption. Other users are responsible for their own decisions and conduct; that does not exclude responsibility for our own breach or failure to meet a legal duty.

We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of your mandatory consumer rights, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. There is no blanket waiver of rights concerning privacy, data protection or online safety.

16.3 Your responsibility for breaches

You may be responsible under applicable law for reasonable, foreseeable losses directly caused by your unlawful conduct or breach of these Terms. We will take reasonable steps to limit such losses. You are not required to indemnify us for our own fault, assume our legal defence, or reimburse amounts beyond what the law permits. This does not make you liable simply for using a lawful complaints or dispute process.

16.4 Events beyond our reasonable control

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by an event beyond our reasonable control to the extent we could not reasonably avoid its effects. We will take reasonable steps to reduce those effects and inform affected customers where appropriate. This provision does not remove cancellation, refund or other rights that apply if we cannot provide the purchased service.

17. Complaints, governing law and courts

Please contact [email protected] about complaints or disputes, giving the account and transaction details relevant to your concern. We will consider the complaint and respond. We encourage direct resolution, but contacting us first is not a condition of exercising a statutory right, meeting a legal deadline, seeking urgent relief or making a lawful payment dispute. Where legally required, we will provide information about an appropriate alternative dispute-resolution body and whether we will use it.

These Terms and any dispute concerning them or the Service are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you retain the mandatory protections of the law of your place of residence that apply to you.

The courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. You may also bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence where applicable consumer law allows, and we will bring proceedings against you there where the law requires. These Terms do not require compulsory arbitration or waive any court access, representative action or other procedural protection that cannot lawfully be waived.

18. Changes to these Terms and general provisions

We may update these Terms for legal or regulatory changes, security and safety needs, technical developments, or reasonable changes to the Service or our commercial arrangements. We will publish the revised version and effective date on this page. We may also communicate updates by email or an in-service notice, but do not undertake to send a separate notification for every change. Where applicable law requires notice, advance notice or your agreement before a change applies to you, we will provide that notice or obtain that agreement.

Changes do not retrospectively remove accrued rights, rewrite the price or essential benefit of a completed purchase, or eliminate a claim that already exists. If you do not accept a material change, you may stop using the Service and cancel future renewal; any additional cancellation or remedy rights required by law remain available. Permanent deletion is not required merely to cancel renewal.

If a provision is unlawful or unenforceable, the rest of these Terms continues to apply where it can do so lawfully. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it.

We may transfer our rights and obligations to another organisation as part of a genuine business transfer or reorganisation, provided this does not reduce your contractual protections. We will notify you where required and provide any remedy required if the transfer materially disadvantages you.
