Privacy and safer introductions
Understand what you share, involve people you trust and take time to assess a potential spouse.
Choose what goes in your profile
Explain your values and expectations without adding your home address, workplace address, phone number or private documents to your profile text. Public profile previews already appear on this website; do not treat a profile as a private message.
The app has profile visibility controls and separate sharing settings. Hiding a profile is different from deleting an account, and does not recall information someone has already seen. Review your settings before publishing. Read the Privacy Policy and account deletion information.
Photo-free profiles and the current photo policy
The public showcase on this website displays no member photos. The current app marks photo sharing as coming soon. Do not assume you can reveal or exchange photos through a conversation.
Discuss an appropriate next step with your wali or family and follow the communication rules shown in the app. Do not share private material in profile text or assume that a future sharing feature is already available.
Wali involvement is explicit
Recording wali contact details, sharing those contacts and inviting an Active Wali are different actions. Active Wali provides read-only access after a connection is active. Read the full wali explanation so you know who can see a conversation.
Report and block separately
Use the report action in the app to flag suspicious conduct, inappropriate content or a concern about a profile. Include the relevant profile identifier and a concise explanation. Blocking is a separate control; a report should not be assumed to block someone automatically.
If you cannot use the app’s reporting tools, contact support. Avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information about yourself or another person.
Assess the person, not just the profile
- Discuss inconsistencies in someone’s story and verify important information through appropriate, trusted people.
- Do not send money, bank details, passwords or verification codes to a prospective match.
- Do not let pressure or urgency replace a careful decision.
- Plan meetings with appropriate wali or family involvement and let someone you trust know the arrangements.
Profile review and moderation cannot establish a person’s sincerity, piety or future conduct. We do not claim that every member’s identity has been independently verified. For an immediate threat, contact local emergency services.
Prepare for a useful conversation
Read questions to discuss before nikah and our religious compatibility guide. These are general discussion prompts; personal religious questions should be taken to a qualified adviser.
